If you are visiting Maui， this is THE book。 We lived by this book and have no regrets。 It led us to some of the most beautiful， interesting， and fun things to do on the island。 It goes a step further than most guide books by providing the history of the island。

Really enjoyed all the information in the book。 Very good explanations of the history and areas of Maui。 I only gave it 4 stars because I bought the Kindle version and found going back and forth through information to be harder than it needed to be。 Would recommend the print version highly。

This book lead to being a bit of an obsession for my husband and I on our recent trip to Maui。 Not only is the tip content superb， but hilarious as well。 We had excellent self guided tours of the North and Road to Hana， found great beaches， eats， and so much more。

Ran into a couple at the Olivine Pools and started talking about how the book led us to this amazing secret place。 “We found this with The Book。” “We all have The Book” he said。 This book was like traveling with a trusted friend who lived in Hawaii full of pro tips and secrets。 Without it our honeymoon would not have been nearly as adventurous or marvelous！ We kept it with us in the car as our trusted companion！

After reading 3 Maui guide books I have no qualms about saying that this is the only one you need。 I like that it incorporates Maui history at the front and throughout the book rather than relegating it to the back。 High standards of reviewing， a chatty and personable writing style， and logically organized sections。

Never did I imagine reading a guidebook cover to cover， but that’s exactly what happened here！ The writing has the perfect balance of passion for the area and just a touch of sass that made planning for our trip to Maui extra fun。 Will definitely check out other books for future trips！

Another great ultimate guidebook from this author。 I hope he wrote more other than just for Hawaii because these are the best guidebooks I’ve ever come across。 You really don’t need another guidebook when planning a trip when you have these。 It’s got everything you’ll care to see， and honest reviews about what’s worth your time and what isn’t。 Where to eat， stay， what to do and details about how to get there and where to park。 THE best。
